LEMBAGA KELAYAKAN PROFESION UNDANG-UNDANG, MALAYSIA (Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia) was set up under Clause 11 of the Legal Profession Act 1976 (Akta 166).
Among its scope of functions and authority is to decide on the suitability and qualifications of candidates who would be regarded as “qualified persons” (orang yang berkelayakan) in accordance with Section 3 of Act 166 with the intention of ultimately being accepted as an Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia.
The Certificate in Legal Practice (Peperiksaan Sijil Amalan Guaman) is an examination conducted annually by Lembaga Kelayakan Profesion Undang-Undang whereby successful candidates are then deemed to meet the requirements of “qualified persons” (orang yang berlayakan) as stipulated in the Section 3 of Act 166 and can then begin their pupillage prior to being called as an Advocate & Solicitor to the Malaysian Bar.
Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid is proud to be the Sponsor of the prestigious prize for the Best Overall Student (Hadiah Untuk Pelajar Terbaik Keseluruhan) in the Certificate in Legal Practice examinations each year.
