29th IIUM CONVOCATION CEREMONY
YAYASAN TUN ABDUL HAMID was privileged to sponsor three awards at the 29th Convocation Ceremony of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) held on 16-18 November 2013 (12-14 Muharram 1435H) at the Great Hall, Cultural Activity Centre, IIUM Gombak Campus.
Iskander Azizuddin and Feisal Azizuddin witnessed Session 5 of the ceremony on behalf of the Yayasan, which was when the presentation of Undergraduate Degrees from the Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Laws was being conferred.
The Opening Declaration of the said Session which took place at 9.00am on 18 November 2013, was announced by H.E. The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Shahid M.G. Kiani, who is also a Member of the Board of Governors of IIUM. The Rector of IIUM, Hon. Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin was foremost among the august personages present on such an illustrious occasion.
Marifatul Haq s/o Muntakhabul Haq was awarded the Best Student in Public International Law and Ahmad Danial bin Abdul Rahim was awarded the Best Student in Professional Practice, each of which carries a cash value of RM500.00.
Marifatul Haq s/o Muntakabul Haq was also awarded the prize of Best Student (Co-Curriculum) for the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, which carries a cash value of RM1000.00 and went on to be the Valedictorian of the convocation ceremony that day.
Altogether there was a total of 377 Law graduates from the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws and a grand total of 3723 graduates and 911 postgraduates from all the various disciplines, at the 29th Convocation Ceremony of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
