COURTESY VISIT TO KIOKU OFFICE BY YTAH BOARD
Representatives from the Yayasan made a courtesy visit to the office of Persatuan KIOKU (Persatuan Interaksi Orang Kurang Upaya Kuala Lumpur & Selangor) at 1.E. Gallery, Taman Sri Sentosa, Kuala Lumpur on 09th May 2011. Led by Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid Chairman, Azizuddin bin Abdul Hamid, the Yayasan representatives were warmly welcomed by Persatuan KIOKU Chairman, Mr. Chris S. Kali Thasan and Committee Secretary, Mr. Lee Thim Fatt and Committee Member, Mr. Karthigesan.
Mr. Chris explained the vision and objectives of Persatuan KIOKU while the other committee members also shared the various challenges faced by the disabled community in their endeavours to assimilate with society and become self-reliant.
Also present was the recipient of a commode wheelchair donated by the Yayasan, Mr. Lee Puay Guan.
The Yayasan representatives were also delightfully surprised to be served with specially home-cooked snacks and refreshments by the wife of Persatuan KIOKU Chairman, Mrs. Chris. Mrs. Chris was truly a hospitable hostess and ensured everyone was comfortable and well-taken care of. Mr. Chris is really lucky to have such a gem of a wife at his side.
The Yayasan wishes Persatuan KIOKU well and hopes to continue to support the aspirations of its members.
