TAY ZI LI BAGS ‘LULUSAN TERBAIK KESELURUHAN’ AWARD IN LEGAL PROFESSION QUALIFYING BOARD EXAMINATIONS 2011
Lembaga Kelayakan Profesion Undang-Undang Malaysia (Legal Profession Qualifying Board Malaysia) held its 17th Convocation for the graduands of the Peperiksaan Sijil Amalan Guaman 2011 (Certificate of Legal Practice Examinations) at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur on Thursday 22nd March 2012.
Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid is privileged to sponsor the much coveted prize of RM5000.00 for the Best Overall Student in the said examinations. The prize, known as HADIAH TUN ABDUL HAMID OMAR is one of the main highlights of the convocation. This year’s convocation ceremony was especially meaningful to the Yayasan as it was held just a few days before what would have been the late Tun Abdul Hamid’s 83rd birthday.
This year’s winner of the prize, TAY ZI LI broke tradition by being the first male student in many years to attain the highest aggregate in the examinations.
His Royal Highness DYTM Raja Muda Perak Darul Ridzuan Raja Nazrin Shah ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah was present to confer the certificates to all the graduands as well as the prize to Tay Zi Li.
Also present at the convocation were all the Members of the LEMBAGA KELAYAKAN PROFESION UNDANG-UNDANG MALAYSIA, presided by their Chairman, Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, who is also the Attorney-General of Malaysia and their Secretary, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Hashim Hamzah, who is also the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia. The other Members of the Board who were all also present were Federal Court Judge, Yang Arif Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Embong, Court of Appeal Judge, Yang Arif Datuk Zainun Ali, Malaysian Bar Council President, Mr. Lim Chee Wee and the Dean of the Law Faculty of University Teknologi MARA, Y. Bhg. Profesor Madya Datin Paduka Saudah Sulaiman.
Puan Ellina binti Abdul Majid represented the Board of Directors of Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid at the event.
The Yayasan extends their Heartiest Congratulations to Mr. Tay Zi Li on his most commendable achievement and wishes him every success in his future career. Well Done, Zi Li!
