A BURSARY AWARD FOR UKM STUDENT

09 September 2013 — Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid is pleased to award Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) student, SAW WEI SIANG, a bursary of RM1000.00 towards the research & fieldwork expenses to be incurred in the preparation of his final year dissertation (course code: UUK 4565, Kertas Projek) for his Law degree.

Wei Siang’s dissertation is to be entitled, ‘Pelaksanaan Prosedur “Plea Bargaining” Dalam Sistem Keadilan Jenayah di Malaysia’ (‘Plea Bargaining: Balancing the Interests of the Crime Victim and the Accused’).

The length of the said dissertation is to be between 10,000 – 15,000 words and counts towards five credits of the degree to be awarded.

The Yayasan will also bear the printing and binding costs of producing the dissertation.

Earlier in June, Wei Siang’s initiative of securing a two-month internship during his semester break also earned him a one-time disbursement of RM500.00 from Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid to alleviate his travel and living expenses during the period of his internship.
