A HELPING HAND FROM FRIENDS OF THE YAYASAN
When Friends Of The Yayasan (FOTY) heard of the the Maha Karuna Compassionate Home’s requirement for furniture, they were pleased to help. Gathering together various still useable items like cabinets, a sofa, telephone table and large multipurpose rack, the Friends hired a lorry to send the items to the Home on 21st January 2013.

Located at Taman Midah, Cheras, the Home provides permanent accommodation for the elderly, who would otherwise have no place to go. Temporary accommodation for patients coming from outstation for radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments in Kuala Lumpur is also available to help reduce their expenses while having treatment.

The Home does not charge the residents but is dependent on public donations and helpers at the Home volunteer their services for free.
