SOKA GAKKAI OUTING AT RANEM

Friends of the Yayasan (FOTY) , an informal group of volunteers from Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid, willingly gave up their Sunday morning on 26 June 2011 to lend a hand at the coffee morning get-together of the ‘Golden Age’ sector of Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM).

Held at Rumah Amal Nur Enjah Mariam (RANEM), the Yayasan volunteers did their part to ensure the elderly SGM members present were solicitously looked after for the duration of the get-together. FOTY volunteers, Iskander and Feisal entertained the members with a rendition of Ronan Keating’s classic song,”When You Say Nothing At All”. They also led those present in singing “Happy Birthday” to a couple of elderly folk celebrating their birthday.

FOTY volunteers, Serena and Greg, handed out tubes of Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream and packets of snacks donated by the Directors of Yayasan Tun Abdul Hamid, to each SGM member as a memento of their get-together at RANEM.

Set up in 1984, Soka Gakkai Malaysia is an organisation which actively promotes peace, culture & education through personal change and social contribution.
