LAPTOP GIFT FOR THE YAYASAN SPONSORED CHILDREN
25th January 2013 – With the emphasis on IT in today’s school curriculum, access to a computer and the Internet have become an integral part of homework and class assignments.
Many families are fortunate to have at least one computer in the home and some children take it for granted to possess a laptop each exclusively for their personal use.
But for Yayasan sponsored children, Siti Maisarah, Halimatul Sa’adiah, Siti Nur Fatihah and Muhammad Irfan Fakhrullah, their only access to a computer outside of school is by going to the cyber cafe to get their assignments done.
When Friends Of The Yayasan (FOTY) heard of the children’s plight, they immediately chipped in to give the children a Dell laptop complete with prn drive, so visits to the cyber cafe may now be a thing of the past.
Yayasan Director, Puan Ellina binti Abdul Majid, observing the workings of the laptop. As she quipped with Puan Setyana, “Not to worry, your children probably already know how to handle the computer much better than we ever will!”
